Virginia July 16th 1768
Kind Sir
Colo Edmd. Pendleton informs me he has wrote
to you, to undertake to manage for me & others, agt Wilson
& others, in an appeal that Mr. John Bland has had in
hand ever since the year 1763, & to take the money out of
his hands that I have sent him, which is eighty nine pounds
some little odd Sterling, which Colo. Pendleton thought
was a great plenty, untill a return of the appeal, I am
extreemly oblig'd to you for undertaking to act for us, besides
making you full sattisfaction for your trouble, & if their shou'd
not be money enough already sent will pay or send what
is necessary on the return. either in good Bills or Tobacco,
which shall suit you best; & shall be much oblig'd to you
to write me word (if you shou'd have an oppertunity
before it is try'd) in what cituation it may be in, for
it has been a troublesome & expensive affair to me. & am
in hopes you will forward it as fast as you conveniently
can
