John May bill of exchange, dated July 21, 1787, issued to John Hatley Norton to pay Colonel Thomas Marshall £16 8 shillings and four pence. The payment to Marshall was to reimburse the sum he advanced May in regard to Norton's lands at Little Yellow Banks in Kentucky.
