Rosewell Decr. the 5th. 1769

Dear Sir

I wrote you that I should be obliged
to draw on you for £250, & have drawn two
Bills one payable to Smith & Jameson for
£200, & another for £22.10 payable to Wm
Stevenson, & should have drawn for £50 more
had not exchange been so very low.
I know my Consignments have been very
inconsiderable, mere nothing in Comparison
of my Draughts; but I am under a Necessity
of being thus unreasonable & will most
readily allow Interest for all Sums I have
or may ever draw on you for when I have
not money in your Hands, & your Honouring
the Bills will really be deem'd an Honour
& Favour done yr. much obl.
hble. Sert. John Page Junr
