York Town, June 13t, 1770
Dear Sir,
I recd. P Cap: Robertson your letter dated the
10th. of March last, Wherein your kind expressions, and
Good Wishes ; in Gratitude Obliges me to return you sincere
thanks for the same; And farther, to Mrs. Norton I send
p favr. of Cap: Easten two red birds, Some Water - Witch skins,
and three loons do., if She will be pleas'd to think them
Worth Accepting; When she sent to me to get such things
for her, it was not in my power, tho' try'd hard. Mr.
John Hatley Norton Esqr. is in good Health blessed be God;
And all things going on Well with the Brilliant; the Cap:
this day taking in part of her Load at York; and the
Next tyde design'd up to West-point. I Pray God these
may find You, Mrs. Norton, Children, and all Yor. family in
Good Health; altho; I Can't have the happiness to signifie
to you that I my self: What with the Trouble and Other
things I am all but, broke down. No more but my best
Compliments to you and Mrs. Norton, and Sincere love, and
best Wishes to the Children. Taking Leave to Subscribe
