Sir,

I Receiv'd yours of the 10 March 1770 and
am Sorry to Say that my Goods was all wet and
Very much Hurt.

Inclosd is a bill of Laden for three Hhds. Tobo. which
I hope will Come Safe & in Good order to hand. as I make
now Doubt but they will Suit the market as they
are Very fine & of the Best Quality, and as I Shall
Be in want of a few Goods Should be oblige to you to
Send them by the first Safe opotunity and to
be Landed at Richd. Allen's in Cumberland
Town (New Kent County) and you will oblige
