Mr. John Norton
Sir
Your favours of the 10th November & 10 th March are now
before us the first Brought Invoice of Sundrie goods amounting to
£ 196.10.6 the Latter one box of China amt Stg. 12.9 all which
we Received in good order & have placed them to your Credit.
We wrote you July [illegible] st for Insurance on 12 hhds toba Shiped
you on Board the Brilliant, Mr Norton will inclose you bill
of Lading for the same. The Association Entered into by
the principall Gentlemen Merchants & Traders of this Colony
has been a means of Lessening our importaton Considerably
however we would fain hope it will not be of Long Continuance
as we Expect the Parliament will Certainly Repeall all the
Acts next meeting.
Inclosed is a Scheme of Goods which we hope you
will forward us in the Spring. the English Calicoe & french Cam:
brick must not Exceed the prices mentioned in the Scheme as
all avobe that are prohibited.
