Virga. York Town August 8 1771

Dr. Sir

I have now the Pleasure to Inform you of being
Safely Arrived with your Ship Virginia at York Town
where I find Mr. John. H Norton has been from some
days up the Country. I am Inform'd he is well I am Just
going to send of Express wth. advice of my Arrival Mrs.
Goosley is out of Town. on the Eastern Shore wth Miss
Nicholas who is unwell I am much Rejoiced to find
Goosley took in at £10 P Ton and that I am to have
the Same we have been much Expected as Our Cargo
I find is all Ready I have to say for the Virginia
that she does everything that can be Expected
of a Ship and is Certainly as fine a Merchant Ship
as can be Built & is here Allowed so by all that has
seen her Mr. Grayson my Passenger left me at the
Cape in a boat for Potomack & Mrs. Field & her
Family went Round this day all well by Water
to her Husband. I have Nothing farther to add
but that I am Sir your much Obliged &.
