Messrs. Norton & Son,
I cannot but acknowledge myself great
-ly indebted to Mrs. Norton for the trouble, she must have
been at, in procuring my work'd Muslain, with which
I am very much pleas'd - I am sorry that I am under
the necessity of returning the gloves, which were sent in;
which being so doubled up in a piece of brown paper, are
so much Damaged, that it is impossible for me either
to Usse them my self, or to part with them -
I imagine there must have been some little mis-
take in the Stockings sent it - As I wrote for Womens
[Sto]ckings - & receiv'd large Men's Stockings - but sooner
[the]n put Mr Norton to any more trouble, I will endea
-vour to exchange them - I am sorry that it does not
lay in my power to ship you any tobacco on board
Capt. Goosley this year - But hope to sent some by
Robinson - I should be very glad you would send
me my account Current, as it would be a great Satis
-faction to me - I am greatly obliged to you for the no-
-tice you took of my Nephew, when in London -
He being so pleas'd with your kind behaviour to-
-ward him - has chose to leave Capt. Mc.Cunn, to
be in your employ - where I am sure he will meet
with due Reward for what he merits -
Gentlemen Yr
most Obet
