Dear Sir
I took the liberty to write you a few lines by your
Virginia inclosing a Bill of Excise for £100 sterling requesting
you to lay it out when received in Lottery tickest for some of my
Neighbours - I fyou have not already executed the order
& when you are in Cash let me bet go trouble you to pay
Seventeen pounds to Mr. Frances Barraud my partners
Brother on my Account & the Ballance to be lay'd out
as before mention'd - I am in my way from
our June Court, (July meeting none call'd) a mere
burlesque on business. God knows only where our
strange proceedings will end for at present we rather
seem to be playing at blind mens bluff than acting like
Merchants - My best wishes waits on Mrs.
Norton & your family - I am affectionately
Dear Sir your most obedient Servant
