Dear Sir.

You will receive by this Opportunity
Capt. Walker's Bill of Loading for the forty Hhds
of Tobo., I have several Times advised you I inten-
ded to ship on Board the Randolph; I am going
from Home & expect the Captain will call in
my Absence, shall therefore leave Orders with
my Clerk to inclose it to you. By Capt. Esten
I advised you that our Printers had imported
a Quantity of Paper & expected a farther Sup-
ply this Summer, for which I engaged to pay
Messrs. Frank & Bickerton £400 Stg, which
Sum, as I could not then procure such
Bills as I liked, I desired the Favr. of you to
pay & promised to remit the Money very
speedily; I soon after sent you Fr. Whiting's
Bill on Cary & Co. for £100 & now inclose
your Son's Draught for £300 Stg. on Acct. of
Messrs. Snelson Hill & Co.; I furnish'd. him with
the Money for those Gentlemen, when he
went up to last King William Court to pay
for Tobo. purchased by them to assist your Ship,
he sent the Bills down to me the other
Day & desired I would apologize for his not
advising you of them, as he was pinch'd.
in Point of Time. Had I been sure of those
Bills, I would have saved you the Trouble
of negociating this Affair, by sending them
to Messrs. Frank & Bickerton immediately.
To give yr. Ship all the Dispatch in my
Power, I have been obliged to draw upon
you sooner than I expected to assist in paying
for Tobo.; I have purchased in all fifty Hogsheads,
which you'll be pleased to insure on Board
yr. Ship.

I have already advised you of all my Draughts,
except the last to Mrs. Eliza. Eyre for £30 Stg.
I was extremely well pleased to learn that
you intended to take yr. Son into Part:
nership, as I think him a young Gentleman
of great Merit & highly deserving of every
Thing you can do for him; he still continues
with his Friends up the Country & was very
well a few Days ago. With my best Wishes
for you & all your's I remain, Dr. Sir,

Yr. affte. & mo. obt. Sert.
