Cumberland Town in Virginia 5th. Novemr. 1773.
Messrs. & Son,
Gentlemen,
We received your p the London with the Goods you was
pleased to send us, which are all right, except Mr Nixon has sent 1ll. light dyed sewing
Silk, which is not charged, & Mr North has ommitted to sen ½ dr Clamps : Messrs.
Wattings & Stater have charged double times the Price for the Spirit of Turpentine & they
ought to deduct at least 12/.
On the other side is a small Scheme for some Goods to be sent
in the Spring, which you promised our J H to send, & we shall endeavour to make punctual
Remittance for them. As Goods sell at a pretty high Advance, we hope you will not disap
:point us. We are respectfully,

Sheffield & Birmingham for us, ordered to your
