Virginia Augt. 12. 1768
Sir,
I Recd. yours by Capt. Robertson and have Wrote you a Letter
by Capt. Quincy by the way of Liverpoole. I have as far in my
Power Assisted Capt. Robertson the Crop being very Short Cou'd send
you But three hogd. But its some of the Best I Cou'd Purchase in
Hanover hope they will get safe to your hands and you will
be Able to give a good Amt. for them. I am Sorry to hear the
Tob. Turn'd out But Sorry last year. at this Time our Crop is
very Promissing I hope we Shall be Able to Ship something
worth sending Next year If we can't gett a Return some time this
winter Concerning of our Suit, as I Assure you at Present it
Keeps us under. (Capt. Dixson keeps the hole Estt. in his
Possession at Present) What Ever we are behind hand with you
if you Please to Lett me know Shall be Remited on Demand in
Tob. I Advise'd you of a Small order on Mr. Lee Secretary of the
Massisipia Company to Save Some lands If I can Avoid it I
will not send it out. But I shou'd hope you'l Pay it as it must be
Paid in London in Sterlg. Money. I shall Take it Extremely Kind
If you'l Send me the Determination of the Law Suit as soon as
Possible with the Decree. Perhaps one Month may Keep us out the
Esst Another year. Your Kindness in Assisting us in this
Suit Shall Allways. Greatfully Return'd by me and I hope
by my Little Brother in Law. When he comes of Age. I recd. my
Lether Breeches have Inclose'd a Little Invoice of goods. But If you
think you Cant Advance so much, Dont Send them. As I am a Stranger
what the Suit will Cost us. I will certainly Remit what Ever I am
behind hand I am with great Respect your huml. Ser
