Dear Sir.

Your favour by Capt Robertson with the Goods
came safe to hand and in good Order. I have now Shipped you
only two hhds which was all the Tobacco I had this year on
York River the next I hope to be able to enlarge the Quantity
as the present Crop is likely to be very plentiful yet this depends
much on a favourable Fall the Tobacco being generally late Planted
I heartily wish the People who are so Clamorous & Riotous
with you for want of Provisions were supplied from hence
Wheat and Corn might easily be had to the mutual Advantage
of them and us.

We are not a little Anxious to know what the
Resolutions of the Parliament may be about American
Affairs as also who we are to have for a Governor should he
come charged with Instructions such as were lately sent to
a Governor in New England I fear the Peace and tranquility
of this Colony will be greatly disturbed. Herewith you will
receive some Gazettes by the many Sales and Lotterys
Advertized you will find strange alteration of Property must
soon happen.

When your Ship returns next be pleased to send the
several articles mentioned underneath and you will oblige

Dear Sir
Your affectionate friend and Servt.
