Description

Richmond Terrell Sr. letter to John Norton, merchant in London, England concerning tobacco. Terrell writes that he has shipped two hogsheads of tobacco and hopes they will receive a good price as it is very good tobacco. Terrell complains of the price received for his last shipment which he felt sold for a low price given the scarcity of tobacco at the time. Terrell requests Norton send him Welsh cotton, duffel and sail stockings.

You have this by the Brilliant Capt. Robertson with
Two Hhds. Tobo. which I hope will Come Safe to hand
& in Good order as I think they are Two Very
Good Hhds. Tobo. I Flatter my Self that you
will Render me a better Acct. for them then
was for the Last as I think they Sold low
Considering the Scarcity of Tobo.

Below is a few Goods orderd which if you please
to Send by the first Ship to this River you will
