Virginia 5th Feby 1776 ~
Gentlemen,
Having met with an advantageous Bargain in a
Quantity of Rum, I have been obliged to draw on you the 24th ulto
in favour of Mr George Kerr for £160 Sterling in part of the
Tobacco shipp'd you last Year : Since which I have wrote you
fully by my Brother, & inclosed Charles Smith's Bill on Edwd
Harford of Bristol for £25 Strlg. I have nothing farther to
add, but that I hope you will pay due Honour to the abobe
mentioned Draft, & you will very much oblige
