Gentn.

I have recd. your's of the 5th. of Sepr. last
Inclosing an Accot. Curt. of my Fathers Est<a.
Ball. due £19.8.4, which you have given
my Accot. Cr . for   I believe there is a small
Omission in giving Cr. only for the prime Cost
of the Cask of Iron, because it was attended
with the Cost of the shipping charges &c - If
this is reasonable to be allowed, you'l please
to have it rectifyed, and may be settled [here]
[a]fter - I observe that the 3 hhds. of Tobo.
that I sent you in the year 1774 clear'd &pound29.11.2
and the Goods you sent me p the Virga. the
same year amount,d to £18.11.9, which left
a Ball. in my favour of £10.19.5. added to
the above £19.8.4 makes the Ballc. due me
£30.7.9. As I'm afraid that there is no probability
of an Accomodation takeing place soon, I have drawn
on you for the Ball. above mentd, payable to Mr.
Arcd. Govan, which hope will be duly Hond, and
am wth. Respect Gentn. Yr. mo. Obt. Srvt
