Virginia June 1778

Gentn.

I wrote you the 15th July last requesting you to
pay my Sister the proceeds of my 4 hds Tobacco on the
27th October last she advis'd me you had kindly paid her
£40 I imagine She wanted no more at that time, She
now waits on you with this, requesing you'l pay her
the remaining part of the proceeds of my 4 hhds Toba
by Robinson, as it was a good Crop & heavie two of them
stemd, I have no doubt but it will equal other
sales I have heard of from your house -

I sincerely condole with you in the loss of my old
acquaintance and beg you'l make my best wishes
acceptable to good Mrs Norton, shall be glad to
render you any future services if please God I
survive the unhappy differances, I am with esteem
