Gentlemen.
We have in Course rec'd your favour of the 29:th Ulto, accompa=
nying a List of the Books of Mr. Galloway's Law Library,
which we See you have Sold in bulk for £40: which is little
indeed, & we Can't help thinking that, if you had putt them up
in publick Auction they wou'd have fetched a great deal more:
however as it is now too late for repining, must Submit, & according=
ly deducting from the produce 16/- for your Commission, we
this day value on you
£39.4. stg at ½ usance to the order of Peter & John Berthon,
which we recommend to your Care, & ballance this Object Conformably.
We are glad to See Mr. Baylor & his Lady arrived Safe at
Philadelphia in last month of June, and Remain very Sincerely
