Smith writes concerning Norton's flour on Mr. Young's brig and informs him of a death in the family. He adds that the brig has gone to the Aux Cayes and that he has a new schooner, the Eutaw, which is loaded with bread and flour.

Sir,

I recd yours Last Night p Chas. Young & shall
make the necessary Enquiry respecting the House -
Mr. Young's Brigt. is not yet come up here, She is yet to
fit. - I shall talk with him to Day on the Subject of [illegible]
flour on your Accot. - Mr. Matthews has paid me, & this
Post I intended forwarding it - [crossed out, illegible] Since you Left this
place - our family has met with an extreme Loss by the Death
of the Best of Mothers & of Women - This has prevented my
attending to your Orders more punctually - I am Dr. Sir In Haste

N.B. Mr. H. Youngs Brig arriv'd at St. Thomas & is gone to the
Aux Cayes - I Have a new Schooner call'd the Eutaw, amount
2.3 [illegible] , is Loaded with 406 Bbles flour 12Bbles Bread & 800 flour
& well mann'd - She sails this Day for the Aux Cayes, & has
£1800 Insurance done on her at 33/3 pCt. to, at & from - I will sell
[illegible] at the rate of Three thousand pounds to Sea with
Cargo & all Expences Included -
