Cape Francois 25 March 1782

John H Norton Esq;

Dear Sir,

By a letter lately received from
Mr Paul Roussett I find that my share of the nett Proceeds
of the Brig Rachael & Cargo is still in your hands -
I cannot help expressing my surprize that you should
suffer me to remain so long ignorant of this business as
the intercourse to & from Philadelphia has always been
open - you must be sensible that such delays & detention
of funds are extremely injurious to a person in the mer
antile line - I must request you on the reciept of this
to remit my part to Col: William Peachy of Richmond
County without farther delay

I am sir, your mo. Obt Sr.
Rawleigh Colston
