Dear Sir,
Your favour bearing date
Sepr. 9. 1768 we Receivd adviseing us you
had consign'd to your Father by the Farmer
Captn Easton 30 Hhds of Tobbacco. which
are arrivd safe. but are not of prime quality
we Should have been glad you had furnishd
us with the Acco Sales of the Linnens as
in our present Situation we know not whe=
=ther to Ship you another Cargo or no
being Ignorant of the Profit or Loss upon
the former adventure
We have Inclos'd you Carter
Braxtons draft on Cary & Co. value One Hun
=dred pounds together with the protest for
nonpayment with which please to do. the
Needfull & Cr. our Acco for the same.
We hope next year to have
the pleasure of taking you by the hand
in the Interim remain
