Edmund Randolph to John Hatley Norton, 1786 November 13

Edmund Randolph, Williamsburg, Virginia, letter to John Hatley Norton, Winchester, Virginia, dated November 13, 1786. Randolph writes he is pleased to hear of the recovery of Norton's and will attend to debts when he is able. He also writes concerning the note of Colonel Nicholas and to inform Norton that Mrs. Nicholas is unwell and near death.

I am happy to hear of the recovery of your
family. I will attend to your situation as to debts, whenever an
opportunity offers. Send Col^o. Nicholas's note to M^r. Wood, to be
delivered to me, and I will see if I cannot continue to have it
paid in some form or other - M^rs. Nicholas is very low indeed:
and to my judgment is threatened with a speedy dissolution.
