Nicholas also informs Norton that he has seen his son, John Hatley Norton, who is well.

Williamsburg 6th. May 1769
Dear Sir.
This is purely to advise you of
my Draught this Day to Jno. Earnshaw Esqr.
for forty three Pounds four Shillings & five
Pence, which you'll be pleased to give
due Honr. to, & charge it to my Acct. I am
in daily Expectation of the Brilliant's
Arrival; I will give Capt. Robertson
all the Assistance in my Power, tho', at
present, don't know what it will be.
Yr. Son was very well last Night. I re:
main, as always, with my best Wishes for
you & yours, Dr. Sir,
