David Jameson letter to John Norton, merchant in London, England. Jameson writes concerning Mrs. Reynolds' estate and her orphaned son, William, who was sent from Virginia to Norton in London. Jameson requests Norton send him an account of the expenses for Williams' maintenance so that he might remit the necessary funds. Jameson also writes concerning tobacco prices and Norton's business with Mr. Cary.

I duly rec^d. your favour of the 8^th.
of March inclosing M^rs. Reynolds's & My Acco^ts.
Curr^t. I rejoice that B. Reynolds is so well of, when
you let me know the Sum that will do for his
maint^ce. I will remitt it. Your Son has paid me
the money that was due to M^rs. Reynolds's Estate
with the Interest from June last I am sorry you
had not mentioned to me Your Orders to M^r Cary
to discharge that Sum while he had the managem^t.
of your business, it is not unlikely but I might
have got all or part of it from him.

I am afraid 22/6 & 25/. p^ct. is more than our Tob^o. ought
to sell for here, the prices with you have been very
good but I fear they will continue and I fear too that
our Tob^o. is not of so good quality as last year Part
of the little I may ship you may depend I will put
aboard one of your Ships and in the mean time
our best wishes attend you & your good Family I am
