Philip Pendleton Esqr.

Sir

We have entered into a conditional compromise
with Mr. John H Norton which requires the action against him
to be suspended. You will therefore be pleased to cease proceedings
in the same till our further orders, taking care in the mean
while to preserve it unaffected by this delay or suspension

We have the honour to be Sir
