Goochland Jan.y 4th. 1790.
Dear Sir:
I am sorry I was from home
when you was at my house as I wanted
to speak to you about the Debt I owe the
Mr. Nortons being desirous to settle all my
matters I will pay them in land in -
Kentucky - the Land where I now live, or I will
let them have my Lickinhold planta
tion which is a very good one. but ~
must retain the use thereof until next
fall when If I can settle up all my
affairs I shall moove to Kentucky. I expect
a Deduction of Int. duri.g the War. & if
Mr. Norton will come & see the Lands I am
certain we shall agree, I have some high
bred Colts and a fine Stud Horse he may
have if he sh.d want with great respect
