Sir.

Your friend Colo. Thruston is now.
at my house and has requested paymt.
for the Debt I owe your House - I am
sorry it is not now in my power to
make paymt., however from what has
pass'd between us I hope soon to pay you.
this I think I can do in four years by
Installments the first to commence
on the 1st. Decr. next: & for the whole
I will give indisputeable Security
upon those terms on yr. Striking off
seven years Int. I will enter into
Bonds for balce. immediately and am
