Dear sir

This will be handed you by M^r Pottie
who together with M^r Rob. Johnston have
set our from this for your place.

M^r Pottie will shew you a copy of the Plea
Underwood has put in to the Bond you assigned

Be so obliging as confer with M^r P on
this head. The foederal court having
determined that British creditors (under
certain limitations) shall receive pay^ts. I
think will be an effectual Bar to any
Plea similar to it
