THE Commonwealth of Virginia, to the Sheriff of Frederick Countygreeting: You are hereby commanded to attach John Hatley Norton and
George Flowerdieu Norton surviving partners of the house of John Norton &
sons
so that you have their bodies before the Judge of the High Court of Chancery at
the Capitol in the City of Richmond, on the 17th day of the next Court, to
answer us as well of a certain contempt by them to us offered, as it is said, as
upon those things which to them shall then and there be objected: and further
to do and receive what our said Court shall in that part consider. And have then there
this writ: Witness GEORGE WYTHE, Judge of our said Court, at Richmond, this
24th day of March 1794 and in the 18th year of the Commonwealth.
For not Answering the Bill of complaint exhibited against
them in the said Court, by Armistead Russell
