Dear Sir.
Your letter by Capt. Robertson I recd. & am
extreemly oblig'd to you for your kind profess
-sions of Friendship to our distress'd Family
you will receive some Tobo. on my Fathers
acct. shipp'd in my name, as his Crops are
all made over to me, for money I have engag'd
to pay for him, this remittance I hope will
convince you, that he is honest in his intentions
& desirous of paying you as soon as possible;
Inclosd you have a small invoice for some
necessarys my Sister Sally is in the greatest
want of, if I can intrude on your good nature
shall be greatly oblig'd to you, if you'l send
them to me by your Ship the next Year, ~
My Crop has been so short, & bad, that it was
not in my power to ship you any Tobo. this
Year, which I am asham'd off, after your
generous behaviour to me, on this you may rely,
that nothing but a Tempest can prevent my
making a great Crop this Year, all which you
may depend on having, as Bosworth & myself
have no further Correspondence, I am particularly
fortunate at this time having a greater prospect
then my Neighbours.
With sincear wishes for the prosperity of you
& yours, I beg leave to subscribe myself
Dr Sir your mo obt
