Lake Village New Hampshire October 18th 1887.

Dear Emma

I will write a few
lines this morning. I am well
and hope this will find you
all well. I had to stop in Wolf
boro all night when I came
up. every thing was all right in
the little house. the mills here are
not doing mutch quimby and
Clow have shut down and dont
know when they will start
again. Davis would give me a
chance at cobling but it [illegible]
not last long and I don't like
him to work for. Holt and Wood
are going to shut down soon.
why I did not write before is

because I could not make my
mind up what to do. I have
thought some of going down east
and if I did I could have gone that
way and take your trunk with me.
I have decided to send your trunk
by express and have done so today
it will be in the Express Office
in Farmington soon. I will send
the key in this Letter. If I dont
get something to do here soon I
shall go to Mass. I may to to
morrow. Ms. Corsons[?] folks are all well
we went to walk yesterday. she
says she wants to see you and the
baby. I hope the baby will be well
the Dipheria is raging in manches
ter, and some other place I heard of
is there any cases there, be careful of
your Self and the baby. I would
like to see you both to day. I
may get a steady weaving job
and if I do we will go to keeping

house, and then we can be togeather.
I have not heard from East Roch
yet I dont think that place amounts
to mutch any way. do you. this
is a verry warm pleasant day here
how is it down that way
you must stay in the house and
keep warm. do you remember
how you riped your dress up. you
ought to have a new one. when
I get to work I will send you
and aunt some money. if I go
away I will write you where I
am I dont think of any more
to write write as soon as you
get this I may be here and
I am very anxious to hear
from you, So good By for this
time give my love to all the
folks from your Fred
