Virginia August 17th 1769

I Received your Letter June the 20th. and am greatly oblidge
to you for undertakeing our Appeal to mannage
for us, (besides Satisfying you for your Trouble)
before I Received your Letter I had parted with all my Tobacco
I made the last Crop, so that I had ^it not in my power
to ship you any this Voyage but will Take Care
and provide against the Next Opertunity, I should
have wrote to you by the Brilient but just before
She sailed I had the Misfortune to git Throed off my horse
which Renderd me Incapable of Righting then
but have taken this Oppertunity which I hope will
Answer as well, our Crop of Tobacco last year was but
short; but thank god it is some think better this
year and am in hopes I shall be able to ship every
Tobacco every Year if any Incorredgement, you may depend
I shall take Care to satisy you and supply you with
money to Carry on the Suit, if you please to Right
me word what money you Received of Mr. Bland, I have
not had an oppertunity to see Colonel Pendleton about it
and shall be much oblidge to you if youl be so good
as to Right me world what Situation the Suit is in
I have heard that the Defendants have not prosecuted the
Appeal if so I shall be glad you.l let me know by the
First oppertunity .
