One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy At the Request of
Mess: Jones & Clarke of London Merchants ^{Linen Drappers}
I Gyles Sone Notary publick Sworn and admitted Dwelling in
London Exhibited the Original afore Copied Bill to
Messrs. Cary and Company to whom the same is
directed and Demanded payment thereof (the
time limited for payment of the said Bill being
Elapsed since the first presentation thereof
by me notary) They answered that they would
not pay the said Bill for want of advice &
Effects

Therefore I the said Notary at the Request aforesaid did and
do hereby protest against the Drawer
of the said Bill and all others Concerned for Exchange Reex=
=change and all Costs Damages and Interests Suffered and to be
Suffered for want of payment
of the said Bill Thus Protested in
London in the presence of John Kidd & Edward Faulkner Witnesses
