Virginia October 23d 1769

Sr I have sent you one hhd of new Tobacco to see
How it will Turn out without sweating till it
getts the sweat in the ship as Capn Lily was
Detain by the Gust that we had the 7th of last
Month I have had an oportunity to gett one hhd [illegible] and have
sent by him which I wish safe in your hands
I shall gett all I can ready a gainst your ship comes
I fear will be short of what I Expected
