Dear Sirs,

There being due from this Colony to John
Stuart Esqr. the Sum of one hundred & eighty three Pounds
nineteen Shillings & four Pence sterling for Bala.
of his Acct. of Expences & Disbursements in a late Negoti
ation with the Cherokee Indians, I have authorized him
to draw on you for that Sum, & beg the favour of
you to pay & charge it to the Treasury of Virginia.
