Williamsburg 16th. May 1771

Dear Sirs,

Within these few Days I have sent
you by Capt. Baron eleven Bills amounting to
£2442..17.4 Stg. on Acct. of the Treasury, as by inclosed
List & the Duplicates of each. Colo. Archibald Cary's
Bill on your House for £120 is drawn on a Quantity
of Iron, which he intends to ship you by Capt.
Woodford & which he desires you will insure;
he has promised me to ship you some Tobo.
in Gooseley; this I hope will be the Commence:
ment of a Correspondence equally agreeable
& advantagious to you both. The Expenses of all
Bills remitted on Acct. of the Treasury you'll
be pleased to charge to that Account.

your's I remain, Dr. Sirs,

I have taken the Liberty
of engaging that you will
pay Colo. Cary's Bill; the Iron
