York Town 21st. July 1771
Dear Sirs,
I am just come to this Place to visit
my Daughter Betty, who has been indisposed for
some time, & Capt. Goosley's not having yet saild
gives me an Opportunity of desiring the favour
of you to insure ten Hogsheads of my Tobo on Board
of the Randolph Capt. Walker; I don't know the
exact Number of Hogsheads, but suppose these
as many as the Fresh has left me.
Inclosed you'll receive your
J.H.N.s Drt. on yourselves [illegible] £125 st.g, which
you'll be pleased to place to the Credit of
my Acct. as Treasurer of Virga. I am, Dr. Sirs,
Yr's. very affectionately
