Warwick County Sepr 16, 1771
Sirs
I recd yours & was a little Surprised to find you had not
Recd the Clothes but suppose your Son Cepit as it was deliverd to
him tho think he ought to have wrote you about it as he pro-
mis'd - Ive not had an opertunity of Seeing him since the rect
of yours tha I cant pretend to say what he has done with it
but Exptect he will write to you about it by one of your ships
Messrs. Mauduit Write & Company pretens to Appollogise about
the Cloath but never mentions a litle of the shalloon which I make
know dout but you are Sattisfy'd by Sample sent that I thought
not to have cost more than /10 pr yd almost & youl find by the
Shop note sent that they Charged me 1/6 p yd. so that I aught to
have Cr. for at Least /8 p yd - Its not in my powere to assist
you with any toba. this year but shall be glad you'd send me
A piece of blue & white birdeyd pocket Handkerchiefs at abt.
20/ or 24/ the peace & pack'd with Mr Wm Carys Goods from
Your Hble Srvt

& we find by our Books cost 16½ p yd
We give credit in Acct for the
