Norfolk June 9th 1767
Dr Sir
Since my last to You of January, I
have been considering of my undertaking
and my attempt of Sending to You for
the good that have wrote to You for and
find that it will Sute me very well if it
be agreeable to You to order them to Me and
if it will Sute You to take Tobacca for Your
remittance as I can buy them in the way
of Trade You may always depend on the
Tobacca at the Cheepest rates and at what
ever I Give for it and the Charges untill
it gets on board of Your Ship or the Ships that
it is to go in and a Commission for buy-
ing &C on the amount as that will Sute
Me better then remitting bills of Exchange
I shall be able to make Remittanceis regularly
I hope that it will be Your Pleasure in
this as it will be of infinatly Service to me
and am Shore that it will not be any dis=
advantage to You without it be my Ill Luck
to be deprivde the Selling of the goods for Tobac
=ca which that will not be the case in no part
of Virginia, and Shall be Quite agreeable to
pay You Interest as in my Last to You. Your
answer will Greatly Oblige Dr. Your Most Obedient
and most Humble Servent
John Smith
