Dr Sir

Yours by Capt. Robinson I received with the
Goods you sent by him - also the Account of
Sales of my four Hogds sent you by Capt. Goosley,
which did not turn out so well as I expected. I sent
you four more Hogds by Capt Robinson which I hope
will come to a better Market. I shall also send
you four more by Capt. Gooseley. I have sent by
Capt. Necks 1412 yds Virginia Cloth, which I must get
the favour of you to have dyed for my Wife; She wants
it dyed of a purple ground with high Cooured flowers.
I wrote you to purchase me a Ticket in the
State Lottery, which I make no doubt you have done,
if my Letter came in time. - I am Sir

with great respect your most Obedt
Servt - James Carter
