Recto
Virga. York Coty June 11th. 1767
Dear Sir
I take this opportunity by Capt. Esten to
acknowledge the rect. of your favour of the 31st March
by Capt. Anderson (who arriv'd last Saturday) wch. inclosed
a bill Lading &ca. for Goods by him. they are all landed
except the Cask Ironware, in very good order. the piece
Cambrick No. 259 is not come. I suppose it was left out by
some acsident in the hurry of business, or perhaps put in-
to the package of some other person. I hope you will be
able to discover the mistake. I found some Forrest cloth
&ca. pack'd in my Trunk (mark'd M Moore) wch. I suppose
belongs to Merrit Moore. you did not mention it in your
letter to me, nor has he yet apply'd for it. I have however
sent it over this morning by Augt. Moore who promis'd to
deliver it to him. I am very sorry that the K4C leaf Tobo.
does not answer my expectation, but am in hopes it may
improve by lying a while, the Inspectors declar'd that
they never had seen so fine a hhd Tobo at the Wareho. as the
KC stem'd hhd, I am almost done three hhds more stem'd
which I intend for you by Capt. Anderson, the dry weathr.
for some time past prevented my finishing them
I have not yet had the pleasure of seeing Mr.
Norton, but expect it tomorrow or the next day. I must
beg him to honr. me with his Company a Day or two as
I shall be extremely glad to see him & shall have a
good deal to talk to him. I hope this will find you Mrs.
Norton & the children all well. I am very much oblig'd
to you for dispatching my goods so soon as I was in great
want of Hoes & - and am my Dear Sir Yr Mo. Aff. & Obed Ser.
