Williamsburg 23^d. July 1772

Dear Sir.

I wrote you a few Lines this afternoon
by Cap^t. Woodford advising that M^r. William An:
derson had shipt 35 Hhds of Tob^o. on his own & y^r.
Son's joint Account on Board the Unity, Value
£510.13.10½, which he desires may be insured &
one half of the Proceeds placed to his Credit.
Your Son has enjoy'd better Health this Summer
than usual; & in hopes of establishing it, set out
with a young Gentleman, who lives with me, for
the Springs in Frederick about a Fortnight ago.
We heard from him at Fredericksburg, when
he was very well. He desired me to open all his
inland Letters, which was the Reason of M^r.
Anderson's falling into my Hands. Cap^t. Goosley
I expect will sail in a few Days. I have by several
Opportunities desired the favour of you to
insure 19 Hhds of M^r. Ambler's Tob^o. & three of my
own on Board his Ship. I expect to see Cap^t.
Robertson in a few Days & shall give him all the
Assistance I can in the soliciting Way. He car:
ries 41 Hhds of my Tob^o., which you'll be pleased
to insure. I hear Cap^t. Outram is at York & write
