Dear Sir.

I suppose Capt. Goosley will make
you acquainted with the new Scheme of Life
he intends to engage in, & I make no doubt but,
from his exceeding good Behaviour, that you
will very chearfully incline to further
his Views in Life, so far, as may be con:
venient to you. Should he have Occasion
for one or two hundred pounds towards
purchasing a Vessel, I beg the favour
of you to assist him with it, & will engage
that he shall replace the Money with
Interest in a reasonable time. If he
should make such a purchase, I presume
that his own Prudence, seconded by yr.
Advice, will incline him to make a full
Insurance of her. I am, Dr. Sir,
yr. affte. hble Servt.
Ro. C. Nicholas.
