Sir

Your several Letters I receiv'd - the neat Proceeds
of the Hogd Tobacco sent by poor Hubard, I am well
pleased with, being more than I expected after so
long a passage. I am much obliged to you for the
favours shown my Bror. while in England. I have
just had the pleasure of hearing of the safe arrival of
both your Ships - and hope the four Hgds Tobacco
sent you in Capt Goosely will come to a good
Market. Inclosed is an invoice for some
things which I believe will exceed the Tobacco
sent, but shall ship you some more this
Spring. Please to send them by first oppor
tunity if they shou'd not be in time for one of
your Ships and let them be insured. I wish
you & yours many happy years and am Sir

yr Most Obedt Sert
James Carter
