Virga. Norfolk July 1768

Mr. John Norton

Sir

Your Favour of the 31st. March with an Acct.
Currt. inclos'd, Ballance in my Favour £15 I safely receiv'd
by the Brilliant Capt. Robertson. I make no Manner
of Doubt but that long before this you have heard of my
Condition being alter'd (with Mr. John Newton Cooke) wch.
was on the 6th. of February last.

Herewith I draw on you for the above
Ballance in Favour of Capt. Thomas Newton payable at
Thirty Days Sight which I make no Manner
Doubt but will meet your Approbation. And as
soon as my other Matters can be well settled you have
in hand with Mr. William De Jersey, shall be very
glad you'd remit Cash to the above Gentleman Capt.
Thomas Newton Mercht. here. Mr. Cooke will write
you soon with a few Accts. inclos'd in my Favour; he
joins Me in Compliments to you & Mrs. Norton, and
