Jesse Lipscomb letter to John Norton, merchant in London concerning the shipment of tobacco. Lipscomb informs Norton that he has shipped his tobacco because he was offered a good price for it before he received Norton's letter. Lipscomb promises to ship Norton tobacco if he ships any to London. Lipscomb also notes that he has paid his balance due to Colonel Hill.

Virginia 17th. Augt. 1768

Sir.

I Recevd yours of 31st March last but
Before had recevd it a favourable price had
Been offered for Tobacco had disposed of my
Crop. but am still of the same mind. That is
Shou'd I Ever Ship any Tobacco to the port of
London would make a Trial of you before
Any one Else. I have paid that small ballence
of 8/4 to Col: Hill for which I have got his Recept
