Colston writes that he considered arresting Norton's funds in the hands of Plunkett and Sterrett to settle the affair of the Brig Rachael. If Norton won't provide satisfaction, Colston promises to take measures to get justice for himself.

Sir

I had the pleasure of writing
from S^t. Thomas on the Subject of the Brig Rachael
and also from S^t. Croix advising you of my in
tention of arresting some of your funds in the
hands of Mess^rs. Plunkett & Sterrett for the pur
pose of inforcing a Settlement of this affair
but have not yet been favoured with an answer
from you - I again call on you to render
me Satisfaction in this business without delay
& if you decline it be assured I shall take every
method in my power to do myself Justice.
