Philada. April 22d. 1783

Sir -

As Attorney to R Morris Esqr for the
Management of his private Concern I
have just Received from Messrs. Clifford
& Teysett of Amsterdam a Letter dated
the 15th. Novr last - wherein they
entreat me to Represent to you the
hardship they Labour under by an
advance they are in for your Account
of upwards of £300 Stg. which they beg
you will Remit them - In which
Request I can not help joining the
more earnestly as those Gentlemen
add that their Confidence Arose in
the first Instance from Mr. Morris's
Recommendaton - who certainly

those Gentlemen - by an Attempt
to Introduce you to them - in expectation
that a mutually beneficial Conveyance
uld ensure -

Steps to discharge the Balance due
