William Langhorne, Warwick County, Virginia, letter to John Norton & Son, merchants of London, England, dated August 9, 1769. Langhorne writes that his tobacco was not good enough to ship with Captain Moses Robertson and to order some goods. Among the goods ordered are swanskin, knives, plates, Irish linen, sewing silk, forks, etc.
