Nathaniel Burwell writes to John Norton, merchant in London, that he has drawn a bill on him for £30 payable to Alexander Craig, saddler of Williamsburg, for which he has sent 5 hogsheads of tobacco to Norton. Burwell proposes to send 20 hogsheads of tobacco in the following year and will order some goods as well. He hopes this will lead to a regular correspondence.

Five Hdds. of Sweet Scented Tobo. As I am
entering into Life, it will be nessisa
-ry to fix a Correspondence with some
Gentleman in the Virginia Trade; Being acquain
ted with you in this Country, I think I
shou'd treat you ill did I not rely on
you as a Correspondent. If this is a tole
rable Year for Croping I shall ship
you Twenty Hodds of Tobo. next Year,
when I shall send for some Goods for my
Family. My Compliments to my Cou
